The Summit Twilight 5K benefiting Movember, now in its third year, is already a Davidson tradition. Set for November 23, 2013, it’s the fourth of four races in the 2013 Summit Twilight Racing Series.
The race caps Summit’s monthlong fundraising effort for Movember, a global non-profit organization raising money and awareness for men’s health issues. Summit leads a town full of moustache growers for all of November, generating awareness of the cause through some terrific upper lips.
Note: Due to a technical problem, the race results had to be tabulated manually. We went over the video record of the finish to double-check the results, but if your number was not visible we may not have your result. If your result does not appear or seems to be incorrect, please contact us at email@example.com with your approximate finishing time, name, and race number. If your number was not visible at the finish it would also be helpful if you could indicate people who finished near you, and describe your appearance/clothing.
The race starts near Summit Coffee in Davidson, North Carolina. Take I-77 to exit 30, head East on Griffith Street, then turn right on Main Street. Registration will be at Summit Coffee.
A beautiful, challenging nighttime 5K road course through scenic Davidson, past churches and homes, along scenic paved greenways, and finishing on South Street near Summit Coffee. Movember 5K is the series’ only event run completely in the dark. The Davidson greenway will be lit with 1,000 luminaries for this memorable evening.
All runners get free entry to Summit’s fantastic post-race party, with live music, food, beer, and awards.
