About the event
This is a casual, non-competitive event to support the victims of Hurricane Sandy, who are still dealing with food, fuel, and water shortages after being slammed by the worst storm in Atlantic Ocean history. The event is being organized by a Sarah Pyndus Ferris, a woman with close personal ties to the area. For more on Sarah’s history and her connection to New Jersey, see this report from the Charlotte Observer.
